With Goodbudget’s automatic bank syncing feature offered with the Premium plan, you’re able to connect your real-life banks with your Goodbudget ones. When you link Accounts, your transactions are automatically imported into Goodbudget for easier tracking.
Here’s a breakdown of the kinds of external accounts you can link to Goodbudget.
Q: Which kinds of accounts can I link to?
Supported account types:
- Checking accounts
- Savings accounts
- Credit card accounts
We do not support these account types:
- Investments (i.e. 401ks or IRAs)
- Cryptocurrencies
- Debts / loans (i.e. mortgages, car loans, student loans, etc.)
Q: Is my bank supported?
Goodbudget uses Plaid to connect your GB Accounts and your real-life banks in the United States only. While Plaid does not publish a full list of supported institutions, you can use their Demo tool to search for your bank. If you can find credentials for your particular bank, it’s likely that your institution is supported. Head to the Plaid Demo, select their Transactions ‘Product’ from the dropdown, continue as guest, and try their search.
