If you’re using the Premium plan, you might have noticed that the automatically imported transactions that you convert into Account Transfers sometimes linger on your Need to Confirm screen. You might be wondering why that happens.
For example, you might have noticed that the transaction that synced down into your Checking Account that you then converted into an Account Transfer to reflect your payment on your Credit Card Account remained even after you confirmed it.
There are a few reasons why your Account Transfers might be lingering on your Confirm screen:
- The other Account the Transfer is going to or from is also linked to a bank
- The transaction is within four days of your other confirm-able transactions
Let’s break each point down:
The other Account the Transfer is going to or from is also linked to a bank
The Need to Confirm screen will show transactions that are associated with Accounts that are linked to external bank accounts.
In the case that your confirmed Account Transfer is going to or from another Account that is also linked, then the Transfer will continue to appear on the Need to Confirm screen.
That’s because it’s possible that the transaction the Account Transfer corresponds with will sync down into that second linked Account, and you’ll be able to use the Goodbudget’s Match tool to merge the automatic import with the transfer half.
The Account Transfer is within four days of your other confirmable transactions
The Confirm screen is meant to act as a filter that serves you transactions that need your attention. As such, transactions that aren’t immediately relevant won’t show on the screen.
If your Account Transfer is within a four-day date range of your confirmable transactions, then the Account Transfer will show up on the Need to Confirm screen.
For example, if your converted Account Transfer is dated for 11/22, and your oldest automatic import is dated for 11/25, you will see the transfer at the bottom of the Confirm screen on the web.
Wanna see less on the Need to Confirm screen?
Confirm your automatically imported transactions as they sync down to keep your Need to Confirm screen as clean as possible.
If you notice you have very old confirm-able transactions, then Goodbudget will serve you old manual relevant transactions that you might want to merge with them. Categorize and confirm those automatically imported transactions to keep your list clear.
